Since we had our beloved Golden Retrievers over thirteen years ago, I swore to myself that I would take care of their teeth because I wanted them to be as healthy as possible, keep their breath fresh and they never have a toothache have/ slight pain. From just a few weeks, they have their teeth brushed almost every day of their precious lives. Initially I experimented with several brands of toothpaste but eventually found a winning combination. I have been using this product for over 5 years now. I put them individually on the left side of the cupboards in the kitchen or bathroom. I then apply a drop of this product and a pea-sized amount of CET Tartar Control Seafood Toothpaste to my toothbrush. I rest her head on my knee to stabilize her face and begin lifting her jaw on the left side and combing back and forth in both directions. Getting molars in the lower back is a bit tricky, but I lean over to my toothbrush and hold them while their mouths open. Then I brush the right side of my teeth with it and apply another portion of both toothpastes to the brush. I make sure that all teeth are thoroughly cleaned. The combination of these two products has worked very well for my girls. PetzLife mint flavor will keep your breath fresh even if you don't really like the taste. This color of this product is a kind of transparent tannin with gel-like consistency. However, the reason I rated the product a 4 and not a 5 is because the pump on the bottle is terrible. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. And even when it works, the little slits at the end of the pump clog up with dried gel. Poorly designed bottle. I poured the last bottle I bought into a plate and put my toothbrush in it. After brushing her teeth, I wipe her face with a soft cloth and inspect the skin around her mouth. Finally, I take a close look at the inside of her ears and that's it! Happy beautiful girls!
