It seems to work.

I have this for occasional use with a Motorola 400 Series Talkabout. I can confirm that it works with the radio as the speaker and microphone. For shiggs and gigs I've plugged headphones into the output jack (it's a 'regular' size 3.5mm so a regular extra cable will work) and can confirm audio is coming out to headphones. The PTT button has a positive click, and when the switch is pressed, a small red indicator lights up. Time will tell as to durability - it seems a bit cheap but at least it works.
