To be honest I have no idea if I was recording with this mic or the stock iPhone 8 mic. Probably yes, because I heard a click when I connected this microphone. and the audio cuts out about every second during recording. This means it picks up audio just as well as the iPhone's microphone, but then it clicks and cuts off completely, clicking and coming back every second. I couldn't tell any difference with the windshield on or off, and there was no difference in sound quality, which makes me wonder if it even works. Also, there were no notifications or anything from iOS showing that it recognized the device even when connected. So here it is. save your money It's garbage.
