Finally a docking station that works with my computer! I bought a brand new HP laptop direct from HP along with a docking station. It wasn't compatible. I bought a second one from Best Buy (another brand). It wasn't compatible. I contacted HP to see which dock was compatible and after 5 days of frustration they came back empty handed and told me to research it myself. It was an uncomfortable experience, but that's how I found out that USB-C didn't work as an output on my new computer. This docking station has a USB adapter that works with my computer. It also has a power button which I was looking for too. I like to store my laptop in my home office the old-fashioned way, and I just want to hit the power button instead of shuffling everything around to open the laptop and turn it on. (I already broke an HDMI cable in the process). So it works. I plugged it in and it worked right away. I didn't have to install any drivers or do anything other than plug in all my cables. Finally! I don't know why such a simple thing took so much work.
