Review on πŸ”Ž NetumScan Handheld USB QR Barcode Scanner with Adjustable Stand - Wired Automatic 1D 2D Image Bar Code Reader for Store, Supermarket, Warehouse (Wired) by Dhoal Black

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Economical wired barcode scanner but very lacking in instructions.

IMPORTANT FACTS: ----------*This scanner has a wired USB connection only. It seems light and cheap, but it gets the job done. I think devices with a USB wireless receiver or Bluetooth connection are much more convenient.* I'm new to barcode scanners. I assumed, like other gadgets, that you download some kind of software or application to view the scanned codes. It's not like that at all. I found that they work like keystrokes. You can open any program on your computer in which you see a blinking cursor, e.g. B. Word, Notepad, Excel, etc. Wherever you place the blinking cursor, i.e. at the insertion point, the codes appear there. You can set it up to appear immediately at the time of the scan, or you can use the scanner in memory mode and download everything later. UPSs are performed by scanning barcodes. Netum gives you a fat little manual. Unfortunately it's bold because it supports many different languages. For English there are only a few pages and very few barcodes. Each barcode is for a specific setting. A setting that is very important to me is the ability to remove a certain number of characters from the beginning or end of the code. For example, when you scan a USPS package, 9 digits/characters are added in front of the tracking number that is on your package. These numbers are hidden so you don't see them on the packaging. I then have to remove them manually, which is tedious. There should be a barcode setting to remove a specified number of characters from the beginning or end of the tracking number. This setting isn't in the manual, but they provide you with an email to contact them if you need settings that aren't in the manual. I find that very impractical. Why not create a complete guide and put it online for us to download? All in all it's not bad for the price you pay. I will go 4 stars!
