I usually wear a 7 1/8 to 7 1/4 cowboy hat so I ordered a medium sized one with ear buds. fits perfectly. It's comfortable, warm, and snug enough that it won't fall off or even deflate in moderate winds, but not so tight that it's going to give me a headache over time. Unfortunately. When I lower the earbuds, the fit is no longer perfect. When I lower my ear cups, the back of my neck windbreaker hits the top of my jacket collar, causing the peak of my hat to drop even lower. This causes the tip of the beak to severely affect my vision, to the point where I can either see the ground about 15 feet in front of me or tilt my head back as if looking slightly over the distant horizon, but Have to look through the bottom of my glasses to see right in front of you. Walking in this state is not very comfortable. Having the ear cups down and the back of the hat being lifted by my jacket collar also causes the otherwise tight fit of the ear cups on my ears to be pushed outward, allowing cold air to reach the bottom of my ear. my ears while the tops stay warm. I'll probably wear this hat for the winter to get some value for my money but I'll be looking at other options and this hat will most likely be in my next flea market. To manufacturer. Lower the downward slope of the beak a little, make the earcups a little longer so they extend down and back by about 1/2 inch, and reduce the rear windshield by about 1/2 inch and I'll happily do it again to attempt!
