Great closet and great bed!

Update from August 2020: The apartment has moved and the bed had to be taken down. I only disassembled the brackets because when I tried to remove the plastic pieces holding the wooden planks, they broke. So putting it together was a bit more tedious because the slats had to be lined up with the black parts. The DHP website was also very helpful as they offer replacement parts if they break. I don't remember how much it cost. I still love this frame! Original: I love this bed! The crate is quite heavy, so if you're not that strong, you'll definitely need help. My box was quite damaged on the outside but they try to pack it pretty well and luckily I had no damage to the bed or any parts. My assembly time is probably about 1.5 hours. It took the longest to assemble the boxes. The boxes consist of both metal frames and plastic. When I heard they were plastic I was a little apprehensive but they won't be very strong. They are a lot bigger than I thought, lots of storage! I've been using the bed for a week now with no problems. I wouldn't advise stuffing them completely just in case. You don't need a spring box. See my photos. I have about a 9 inch mattress with a 2 inch topper and that's how high it is. I don't feel the bed moving or wobbling or anything with durability issues. I (150lb adult) sleep in this bed with two 50lb dogs. Highly recommended!
