Unlike other manufacturers, that's what the Proxicast people mean when they say the tip is very long. I have a Mophie Juice Plus where the USB port is in the rounded bottom corner of the case. Due to the "rounding", the standard micro USB cable fits very loosely and falls out of the socket with the slightest movement. With this Proxicast cable, the problem is solved. I returned the cheaper Cellet cables I received (which, despite being loudly labeled on the packaging, were a standard size - see my review here https://www.amazon.com/Cellet-418901-Charging- Samsung-Galaxy/dp / B00O7KPVEO/ ref=cm_cr-mr-title) and ordered a second Proxicast cable.
