I use this to keep my coffee hot throughout the day. I was a little worried that my existing coffee mugs, which aren't entirely flat at the bottom, wouldn't work as well, but I'm happy to report that they all warm up just fine. Most of my mugs have a thin bottom rim, but this product still warms my coffee! Of course, a flatter butt works faster and more efficiently, but I've never had any problems. My coffee is always hot! Sometimes I even grab it off the mug warmer in case it gets too hot when I only have a few sips left. However, the auto on off feature is the best. I don't have to think about it, I just put my coffee mug on the heater and it turns on. Remove to turn off. I also see a blue circular light on it when it's on. I can't ask for more.
