They are used for warm water dives with a rash guard, not my standard 3 mil wetsuit. When diving in colder water in the winter I put on my 3mm suit and use it as an extra layer when I get cold. I pair it with a 2 mil upper that gives me 5 mils of warmth without a 5 mil wetsuit. One thing to note is that there are no seals on the legs that wetsuits typically keep colder water out, and warm water circulates inside. They fit well but the neoprene stretches when wet so they are perfect. Much better than lugging around in a 5mm wetsuit and I can leave my $3 million house diving in very warm water in the Florida Keys this summer. As well as many other things. these are made in china.
