Used as a control unit for electric water heaters. The old timer was out of order and the wife wanted something she could turn on without running down to the basement at unprogrammed times. The device wasn't difficult to set up, but it takes a lot of effort to connect to your WiFi. The instructions say to place the device next to the router when connecting, which is not possible when connecting and mounting. Had to go through manual setup instead of auto linking. After figuring out the rest of the setup was easy and programming and switching on and off was easy. The Elexa feature was a nice bonus too. Another thing I didn't like was that the electrical spikes are easy to accidentally hit. The system can be turned on and off with the manual control button. However, this button is about 4 inches from the 220 volt power outlets, which could easily be hit. They should have been a little more protected, just like the switch has a power plug on the switch, making accidental touching a bit more difficult. Because of this and the hour I spent creating a link, I gave it 3 stars instead of 4.
