I am new to using the dehydrator and mandolin/chopper. After reading many reviews I decided on this model and couldn't get enough of it. I'd say it's more focused on security than simple cleanup, which is a good thing. I appreciate a protective glove (although a good Mechanix glove will do the same), and the mandolin veggie holder is strong, sturdy, and designed so the little spears holding items don't hit the blades. The chopper works well, but you'll have to make bulky cuts to get your pieces to the right size. After that, everything is done in one go. Cleaning is fairly easy and multiple brushes and scrapers are included. I just rinse my blades and then toss it all on the top shelf. As with any mandolin, you should always be careful when handling your blades, even if you put them in a storage bucket or cabinet. Overall: very satisfied and impressed with this gadget. It's definitely a time saver.
