GREAT BAG! Like

I don't usually write reviews but I read them often and base my purchases on them. I am writing this review because I believe negative reviews should NOT be warned. No bag is perfect for everyone and every need. Needless to say, great bag. Great material, big strong zippers and great construction. Here is my take on the negative reviews. I give negative feedback then my opinion; 1) the bag itself is heavy A) who carries an empty bag? and yet the same review says the bag is lighter than expected when full. heavy on its own and lighter than expected when full? I hope you see my problem with this. 2) The straps are too short. A) I'm only 5ft 7in so can't comment on that other than they fit me well and have plenty of room to adjust. 3) The bag does not stand upright. A) Mine does. I took the hard drive out of the laptop compartment, although I don't like it (more on that later) 4) the pockets are too small to put anything useful in them A) I can put all sorts of things in them, from keys, notepads, sync or Charging cables, headphones (earbuds) an extra battery for the camera and charger, believe it or not, you don't have to use each bag for its intended or labeled purpose only 5) Back Pain A) REALLY? Seat flat A) I haven't flown this yet. if it doesn't fit, this backpack can really withstand a lot. and it does 7) red stain from the laptop case A) I didn't come across this but again I took out the hardboard which gave it a really good fit (I like it better without the hardboard) 8) the phone case with Starap- Bracket is too small A ) YES IT IS! i use it for my ipod which works great and it has a headphone hole (great for that) and i still like to have my phone in my pocket because it's easier to reach than opening a pocket9) water bottle holder is not a "real water bottle". "A) That's right. It's more of a different bag that I like more. I never need water in one spot for a quick haul. I don't usually walk for miles without stopping at intermediate points, and I can use the zip pocket for other things use .it holds a water bottle although it's not as good as others 10) the pocket for the laptop charger is too small A) again depends on your charger, you don't have to use all the pockets for their labeled purposes Put the Put things where they are enough room 11) the pen holders are too low and will damage the pens A) just doesn't add up, they don't even reach the bottom of the bag to fall on the floor when the bag is lowered 12) No key clip in the front pocket as indicated - There is a key clip shown on the label on the pocket but it is not in the final product.) You should read the label properly, this clearly says that not all F functions are included in each bag. This is just an advertisement for their bags in the article or "red protection" 13) not suitable for 17 inch laptop A) no, not suitable. The description says "fits most 15" laptops. If you have a 17" laptop, try the Gambit bag. Same as Renegade without "RSS" system, which shortens the laptop bag by a few centimeters. Inside the laptop bag: Inside the laptop is a piece of hard plastic bag, which looks like a circuit board it's located in the front bottom and back of the bag and is one solid piece it makes the laptop very tight i didn't like it and it was bent because i just turned the packaging inside out and the bag inside out pulled the hard board out (had to bend it to get it out) which gave the bag a lot more room and a better fit. Also the backpack was able to lay flat on my back.Overall it's a very well made and nice backpack with lots of space and lots of organization (assuming you're smart enough to put things where they fit) Ulta is a great idea and I like it Great package and I'm very satisfied I'll be back in a few months update data of abuse. hope that helps
