Renegade RSS beats the competition!

Arriving Renegade SS, I can say that it is MUCH better than Gambit! From the feel of the material to the hanging system in the laptop compartment, it's first class. The water bottle holder is a MUCH improvement over the Gambit as it has a stretchy, stretchy material that allows you to place your bottle more comfortably. I could easily fit a 32 ounce Nalgene in it! The Renegade's straps aren't short, as other reviewers have said. The version I received was almost identical to the Gambits…

Great bag for travel and work for everyday use

I bought a backpack to replace my 10 year old Ogio bag which finally paid its last debt and the stitching near the handle was starting to close to fail. I probably could have tried to fix it but got a good price for it so I pulled the trigger. This bag is my daily companion and also my "personal item" when I fly to work - 10-12 times a year. I've lugged a bag through airports for hours (delays are inevitable), and thanks to the sternum strap and padded shoulder straps, I survived the ordeal…

Bottomless Bag IRL

Fantastic product! If I had to describe it in as few words as possible, it would be Black Hole. This thing seems endless and will easily fit all your everyday items + whatever you think you'll use it for. I use it for small tech trips and it easily packs all the gear and clothing I need for the few days I'm away. The material of the backpack is a little rough but gives you confidence that it will be durable. Not sure if it's made for weather protection, but it withstood the Alaskan downpours…

Best backpack I've ever owned

I confess I'm obsessed with backpacks. I have over a dozen from Northface to Osprey to Timbuk 2. I use them for a variety of purposes (travel, work, hiking, fun, day trips, etc.). I recently used the Timbuk 2 shoulder bag for my Surface laptop and wanted something with a little more room for work. I also wanted something suitable for a 2-3 day work trip and this backpack fits the bill. Not only do I love the traditional design (what's wrong with futuristic jetpack-like backpacks these days?), I

UPDATE *** AMAZING BAG!. It sucks. But Revan did everything right!

I bought this backpack on August 1, 2018, 5 months ago. I loved it, perfect for what I need it for, plenty of room for two 15 inch laptops and more pockets than I will ever need. There is now a hole in what should have been the strongest stitched part of the bag. The seams came undone at the seam. What a damn drag. BACKGROUND - I use this backpack for work. I have 2 laptops in it. When I go to work I put my bag in the back seat of my truck, drive to work, get bag from back seat, go to office…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Some small things

Not as big as you think, too many pockets

I bought this to use for night trips and general "casual backpack" shopping. The size is listed as 30L but after receiving it and comparing it to another 30L bag (from Oakley) it's either not 30L or the layout is just lousy and you can't use the space. On the plus side, there's a pocket for a laptop. has very good padding and fits a lenovo 15" laptop very well. I doubt it will fit a 17" laptop like they claim. To be honest I've never had a backpack with this type of Seen protection for a laptop

GREAT BAG! Like

I don't usually write reviews but I read them often and base my purchases on them. I am writing this review because I believe negative reviews should NOT be warned. No bag is perfect for everyone and every need. Needless to say, great bag. Great material, big strong zippers and great construction. Here is my take on the negative reviews. I give negative feedback then my opinion; 1) the bag itself is heavy A) who carries an empty bag? and yet the same review says the bag is lighter than expected

  • Satisfied so far

Best bag I haven't kept

I use my bag all the time (work, gym, grocery shopping (walk or bike), carry on 30-40 plane flights a year) and have tried and then carefully researched several over the past few years including wire cutters and then ordered and tried several finalists and returned all but one. And damn, it was close. I was torn between this and LL Bean Quad and alternated between them for a few weeks. My heart was broken to return this because I love it so much and would be the right choice for many but I…
