Laser cut into a few pieces to make a GPU shroud after I removed the original shroud/fan. It could be laser cut with minimal burning if I left the protective plastic on it. I drilled some 2 x 2 x 2mm holes to place small magnets to hold the sheathing together and it keeps its shape and not very transparent even at 0.5mm thick. My only downside is that mine was closer to 11.5" x 11.5" than the advertised dimensions of 11.85" x 11.85".
