This ball was fun, but we left it sitting on one of our kitchen chairs and it melted the polish off our chair, leaving it sticky and discolored. We had to sand that part of our chair because after some sort of chemical reaction with one of those balls, the paint would never harden again. In fact, we had two of these balls. I have emailed the company about this. The company emailed us that this reaction was very strange and they had never heard of it before. They asked for more photos to help us so I sent some but got no more response. Well, we had two of these spheres, and the second one also melted the paint from one of the interior doors in our house that installed the sphere. versus. The color softened due to a chemical reaction when the ball hit it. A few months later my paint is still wet in that area so we need to sand and repaint that area without damaging the texture of the door in any way. So far everything I've tried hasn't eliminated the chemical reaction. Aside from ruining things in my house, I do not recommend this product for fear my children might play with a toy made out of a material that will melt varnish and paint. with constant contact.
