So I've used it successfully in the past. A great idea. Great time saver. The problem is that this time when I was figuring out which pins to plug into the mirror power harness, my multimeter showed my max output was about 10 volts (10.08-10.14). It wasn't enough to power my V1 Gen2 (although the specs said it required 6-35 volts?). My cigarette lighter put out about 14.4 volts and fired the V1 just fine. So it's not that this product is bad, but you'd better know what voltage is being supplied to your mirror, otherwise it may not work. I believe my problem in my 2017 Chevy Silverado is related to the CAN circuit involved in the Onstar/Overhead console. As far as I know, it's just not designed to deliver power. So you got it.
