I bought these for walking around Reykjavik, Iceland, in late November. I had snow boots for the back country but wanted something lighter for the city.These did the trick! They were comfortable right out of the box. And they stood up to everything Reykjavik's notoriously wet and changeable weather could throw at them: light snow, sleet, rain and slush. Never once did my feet get wet. I ordered a half size up and wore two pairs of wool socks and that kept my feet warm. I liked the slight heel. And although the sidewalks occasionally iced over, I kept my footing. Plus, they'll work in Southern California, should we ever get rain again.
