They are pretty good

2007 Yamaha V Star 1300 with Lindby Unibar. Bought these as an upgrade over the cheaper ones that came with the old roll bar. I upgraded to better handlebars after the low end and they are definitely more comfortable. Rather than locking your feet at your knees and reaching for the footpegs, it's relaxed, knee-bent comfort while riding. Lighter on the back for power and stability. They are easy to install, make sure you have a ratchet and metric socket for a perfect fit. Some assembly is required and it comes in individually boxed parts to ensure they won't wear out or get scratched. But when it's all assembled it's the rubber in the clamp, the clamp around the bars, the pin with the screw, left to right adjustment, up and down adjustment, tightening absolute shit. I've checked the instructions several times for torque specs and can't find one, but if it has any play, it moves on them with any weight. Also, I measured the entry and exit of the motor mounts to make sure they were the same distance apart. They can interfere with your controls if they aren't positioned correctly. But once installed and set up, they look great under my Kuryakyn ISO grips. The only complaint is that they're all chrome-plated except for one, and that's a flat spring on the stylus that keeps it clamped. It is made of steel and will rust quickly. Since this is a moving part, painting it won't help. It must be stainless steel or aluminum.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Expensive insurance
