Have been using this product since 2001. But back then it wasn't EXTREME, it was simply Simple Solution. The original was actually what is now called extremes. The other product is an aqueous version. Other than that, I like the Extreme version. 14 years ago I removed an old carpet from my living room. I had a week to lay a new carpet. I removed potholders, padding, etc. and cleaned the concrete really well, but I couldn't get rid of the cat pee smell. I have used all commercially available cleaners and tried a new mop. The day before the new carpet arrived, I went to a large pet store and found Simple Solution. I bought a gallon for $10 (they don't even carry them anymore). I sprayed it well, especially around baseboards. After 30 minutes I wiped down a clean mop and the smell was 100% gone! This is easily the best product I have ever used to remove cat pee odor. I can only recommend that. If you're trying to get rid of cat pee smells on your carpet, remember that you need to wet the carpet so it can soak into the upholstery. Too much is BETTER than too little.
