Review on MeLE Portable Computer Dual Band Bluetooth4 2 by Amy Cook

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I'm a traveling developer

I live on the move, have limited space and a strict 50 amp limit. In the summer I can have two AC units, a coffee maker and a microwave. So if I need to run multiple computers (Linux and Windows) at the same time, the desktop units can (and do) trip switches. . In addition, fans tend to congregate in small spaces creating a real cacophony. While Flash PCs don't make for a really good desktop (especially this dual-core version), I know that if my code works well on it, it will work. excellent in production. Another bonus is that I pay around $75 for the core and Windows 10 Pro comes with the PC. I converted a quad core box into an Ubuntu LAMP server and it has amazing performance for its size. I have this second dual core box and am planning to use it as a Linux to Java development workstation. I bought these MeLE devices specifically because I set up an Ethernet network so I could take advantage of the increased speed and basic security. I have four ATOM sticks, which are great, but the USB/Ethernet adapters dangling from them cause some confusion. I prefer the quad-core version with a 120GB C: drive, but that was out of stock. C Drive: This device is just over 56GB, leaving around 30GB after updating Windows with the latest fixes. You'll definitely want to plug in an external drive for all your important Windows applications. In Ubuntu 20.04 I have a little over 45 GB left after the patch. I've added a 128GB micro SD port on the side and a 120GB SSD connected via a powered USB hub. The stick seems to draw most of the 3 amps that the power supply provides, so a powered USB hub is recommended for smooth operation. This unit, like several ATOM sticks I've bought, heats up to a high level and I've added a small 50mm x 50mm USB powered fan to the top to keep it cool. I can't say enough for the PC, especially if you're on a tight power or space budget.
