So, there was a lot of profanity during the assembly process. Why? Because it didn't look like it was going to work. I didn't follow the instructions at the time because it didn't look like it was going to work. Then I went back to the instructions, unscrewed something, and it didn't work. Then I tried again, the same way, and it worked. And now it works. Really really good. So yes it works, but it looks like it shouldn't and behaves like it shouldn't.
