The durability of this product is just great but a thin LED strip just can't be 5 star quality. It should be ok after gluing, but I think it might get damaged during assembly under stress. Just be careful and follow the instructions and you should be fine. But man, that thing is bright! I bought the shortest length (36 inches) for my 65 inch TV just to try it out. I'm very glad I didn't buy the extra length the manufacturer offers and I would recommend trying a 36" strip first and then buying another or more if you want to light up an entire room. (Our TV room is mostly dark at night, so this band is actually visible.) Our TV is arranged in an open-backed wraparound wall unit (and masks most of that light!). The light at the edges of the TV is almost blinding. I definitely wish it was smaller and could use black tape to limit the brightness. After watching our first movie with Luminoodle my wife immediately said she didn't like it (too bright) but I could do whatever I wanted. So I'll try to mask some of the LEDs with tape (about the middle half should be fine). So this is a good product for my purposes, but be careful how much light you really want.
