Excellent quality, absolutely not expected for such a price.
Immediately after purchase (especially if you plan to use it in bluetooth mode), ate its firmware. This will eliminate many pairing problems and even slightly reduce battery consumption. To under windows 10, download the Xbox Accessories app from the app store, connect the controller with a wire and launch the app. Under the picture with the gamepad, find the ellipsis, and in the window that opens, the item with the software version and a suggestion to ate it. click the ate firmware button and leave the computer and controller alone for a couple of minutes. After the ate, you can begin to enjoy using it. Gamepad is good.
- This is a reference gamepad. All games with full support for the gamepad are made for it. Old games for the xbox 360 gamepad, with which this one is fully compatible without any reservations. Steam is also picked up out of the box. The third revision, which is now sold in stores, is compatible with standard Bluetooth under windows 10/android/iOS. By the way, in the latest firmware (gamepad) they added full support for Android TV so that it can be used as a full-fledged remote control for such a set-top box. Operates on standard/AA batteries for approximately 50 hours of play. And this is with (!) four vibration motors, albeit not as powerful as in the x360 controller,
- (individually) Regarding my old x360 gamepad, this one is clearly designed for a smaller hand. I had to change my grip a bit. (constructively) They could have stuck a simple nickel charge controller directly into the gamepad, but they didn’t, in order to sell their proprietary battery for 25 bucks (into which this controller was stuck). That is, standard AA batteries inside the gamepad cannot be charged from USB. Alas. The bluetooth headphone jack on the controller does not work. (nitpicking) The firmware from the box is raw.
