Review on Gislaved Nord Frost 200 205/55 R16 94T winter by Aneta Szczerba (Szcz ᠌

There are some variations, but tolerable on the whole.

For city driving, just great tires, very quiet, almost inaudible spikes. I also drove along the highway many times in winter (a few times a year, a circle of 2022 km), I did not experience much discomfort. But one day I was "lucky" to get into a real starvation, it was sleet all day, and at night it froze. I could not accelerate above 50 km / h on this rubber, the stabilization lamp was constantly blinking, for acceleration - axle boxes, for braking - ABS chirping, when turning the steering wheel - demolition. Of course, I could attribute everything to an abnormally slippery road, but other cars bypassed me as if standing still. For 14 years of driving behind more than 400t. Km of run, traveled a lot of different tires and have something to compare. Bottom line: If you only drive around the city, you can safely take it. If you often travel out of town, take something else.

Pros
  • Very quiet tires, almost perfect for city driving. Studs sit firmly, for 8000 km out of 4 wheels only one stud has been lost. Non-directional pattern, wheels can be swapped for more even wear.
Cons
  • They hold clean ice terribly, the side grip is also rather weak.
