I used disassembled human skeletons (plastic) to create a skeleton exhibit that allows students to quickly see and appreciate the different bones of the skeleton in relation to each other . See photo. I did the same with a dissected skull showing the two parts and the axial and appendicular skeleton. Access to high-quality plastic skeletal material has become an advantage for laboratory use, particularly in the cadaver laboratory. We had a complete (plastic) skeleton next to each body. A high quality that has been painted on one side showing the launch and inset. I was against any skeletal material that wasn't real bone. But that was 30 years ago and my objection was related to the poor reproduction of skeletal material in plastic. Now the plastic skeleton material is better and more durable than real bone and accurate.
