Useless to me. fits electrics

I bought this to replace a factory sensor on a 1976 jeep which is an exact replacement as the description states. As another reviewer says, there are no markings or tags on the sensor ports, and since there are different mounting methods depending on the year of your Jeep, it takes some faith. I wired it according to the 1976 factory sensor, which is a 12 volt terminal on the driver's side, a ground in the middle, and a sensor wire on the passenger's side. It worked fine so no problem. However, this sensor is much longer than the original, so the plastic frame that attaches to the dashboard does not fit. The sensor hangs on the front of the dash and just can't be fixed, so it just hangs on the dash which is supported by three connecting wires. The dashboard lamp socket is different size, so the original dashboard lamp will not fit. A new dashboard display is included, but that means you have to connect it to the original cables. This may work in some other advertised apps but not for me. Let's go back to Revain for that.
