Review on Samson MS200 Studio Monitor Stands by Brian Piecuch

Like a circus bear on a beach ball

$60 for it? "Difficult conditions"? I had a Samson Rubicon R5as on my desk and decided to get stands to free up some space and provide some isolation and when they said "Perfect for the R6a" I thought I was in good hands but that's it a joke. The platform on which the speakers are mounted is smaller than my phone, and the thin stand doesn't even fit a barrel mic. If you need a greeting card stand or Yankee candles then this is the perfect product for you, but putting up powered monitors is a disaster waiting to happen. Apparently Samson made them because "hey, we sell monitors, maybe we can sell people some stands!". The lack of assembly instructions speaks volumes for how much effort they put into it. If I spent money on lottery tickets I would feel less taken advantage of.
