Your Dock may be new or refurbished

Let me first say that I am happy with my purchase. But before buying, I asked the seller about the condition of the goods - after all, Dell isn't used to selling new docks for $230 to resellers, who in turn resell them for $163. Therefore, it becomes difficult to make profits. In my reply email I was told that the devices were brand new. Well, the shrink wrap on the device wasn't exactly what you'd expect on a new device, and when I tracked the Dell service tag on their website, I found that it was part of an "advanced exchange" that originally intended for a Dell customer in Panama. Advanced exchange parts may be new or refurbished, but Dell must ensure that they are all in working order. And in fact, all functions of my dock work perfectly, there is no cosmetic damage. I downgraded my rating by one star because the information I received wasn't entirely accurate, but hey, I saved over $60 for the part that runs in the background. If you were to buy the same dock from Dell and the first one didn't work for some reason, you would still get this replacement part. Incidentally, if you buy such a device from a reseller, its service tag remains registered with the previous owner, but if you call Dell, the device's service tag registration is transferred to your name.
