This thing fills the entire dash bezel hole exactly how you wanted it - no gaps. It is actually a very practical attempt to place a bezel on this kit. I was concerned that the soft-touch paint might become brittle, but I can't scratch it off with my fingernail, even if I try hard. I love that it has an extra lip/notch around the double din hole. This helps hide the fact that your secondary double DIN master is slightly smaller than the factory master. My only concern is that the four corners of this mounting kit are facing each other. Do not mount flush with the outer edge of the bezel, but this is fairly easy to fix by installing shims behind the mounting kit. I compared it to the Scosche kit and found I like the Metra better.
