STARTING Using a Phillips eyeglass screwdriver, unscrew the 4 screws on the back of the DS4. Gently hold the triggers in place and away from the case when removing the controller to open it. Next is a clip INSIDE to connect the halves. After removing the battery, a clip comes to the touchpad. (It's a little harder to remove and put back, it's in a hard-to-reach place) Next is a silver screw behind the battery compartment. Gently pull the joystick platform up and out. The joysticks are pressed onto the shaft with a flat surface. Align the flat surfaces and press back firmly. Place the joystick holder back into the controller and reassemble. A good opportunity to clean the controller seals with a Clorox cloth or toothpick.
