I am writing this review as a person who works 8 hours a day on concrete floors and suffers from plantar fasciitis as a result. The Brooks Ghost did not relieve the pain in my condition as the insert was curved at the bottom and there was still pressure on my heel/arch area. However, I bought some decent insoles for around $10 and that allowed these shoes to become my "alternative" pair. When I say "over a pair" I mean that I "rotate" between two pairs of shoes each workday so as not to put too much pressure on one area of the foot. My other pair is the New Balance 626 Industrial, which has proven to be my best concrete shoe so far. I hope this review helps those suffering from the same condition and remember this is just my opinion. Your feet may be different from mine and a different solution may be required. Much luck.
