I was skeptical at first as I'm really allergic to most things. I used to react even to surgical steel and was nervous that they would do the same. I'll be honest I'm allergic to white gold, rhodium, nickel and most metals except yellow gold, sterling silver, titanium, platinum and rose gold. I am also sensitive to many things and allergic to many ingredients. I'm a walking reaction to being stupid. I always wanted a second piercing and finally got it, but all of my jewelry responded to the second hole except for a few. It was like it never healed and it's been two years since I got pierced! I went to a tattoo and piercing parlor, not Claire's or Piercing Pagoda. I can only wear certain earrings in this piercing when I'm not wearing it: my earlobe swells, I have blood, pus, pain, redness, scabs, even a weird smell and just generally just gross. I even tried medical grade silicone just to keep my holes open and they caused a reaction when my ears wouldn't stop bleeding. I've been wearing them since I've had them. My earlobe is nice and normal size with no blood, redness, pus or pain. I have some baby scabs, but no more than what you get from eye boogie while you sleep. You only notice them when showering or cleaning, so no major reactions! Also, they are incredibly comfortable and I can lie on them with no pain. I can also sleep with them and without pain or anything! I'm damn happy! I will be picking up a few more pairs for travel/training/sleep. I highly recommend it!
