Review on GIGABYTE GA-A320M-S2H Motherboard - AMD Ryzen AM4, MicroATX, 2x DDR4, HDMI, Realtek ALC887, 3x PCIe, USB 3.1 Gen 1, LAN by Nick Reddy

I apologize for the rating in the top, the motherboard is cool (5 stars for a budget MB) and worked perfectly. I had to deduct a few stars for shipping as they were shipped in a real box (yes, an untaped box that just opens). It affected the corners and god knows if it left the box and was put back in by UPS. Just one horrible main component for you, I would happily spend more and get it from Newegg and I am not alone having seen other reviews. I tried it and it works, we'll see for how long. Apologies for the tirade, if you decide to buy this MB from Amazon try to get something associated with it so it's really packaged. I've been building custom PCs for over 20 years and this is the first time something like this has happened to me. Other thoughts, I can confirm it came with an August 2019 F42 BIOS, I was still flashing to F50 because I bought memory that didn't read the full 16GB but 15.9 and I have Bought a Ryzen 1600 (the AF version is Zen + 12nm which was recently updated which helped with the BIOS update for boot stability). After installing a stock AMD Wraith stealth cooler, its AMD chassis can nearly block a RAM slot, so consider aftermarket options when purchasing this MB, the cooler may not fit as expected. Stealth and Spire should go well together if you put the AMD name on opposite sides. Final Thoughts: Overall I find this board to be a tremendous value for the budget conscious gamer who doesn't want to overclock. Gigabyte and Asus MB don't usually let me down. Nick.
