This is a great minimalist bike rack. Topeak's luggage rack is solid and stays in place when attached to the bike seatpost and works great when used with one of their bags. It has side rails and works exclusively with its own line of panniers and baskets. Available in a variety of sizes and styles, Topeak bags or baskets simply slide into this rack and then securely lock in place with the built-in automatic locking mechanism. . To remove, simply press the locking mechanism and remove the bag or basket from the frame. The stand also has a small "drawer" under the stand that slides out and can hold some very small items. You must purchase one of these to complete the set. You can use a different brand of bag and just lay it on the rack, but then you'll have to wrap some unsightly elastic cords/ropes around it to hold it in place.
