Bought these at the end of last season so I had to wait until this winter to see if they were good enough to keep my hands warm at -20 F below 0. The answer is maybe, but only if I am very active. After 30 minutes on the snow blower (+15 F with +5 wind chill) my less active right hand was cold! After I switched over to shoveling both hands were comfortable, but not warm. Given this experience, I have so little confidence that these gloves will keep my hands warm on a -20 F degree day that I am now shopping for a pair of Black Diamond gloves. The gloves have a good sealing cuff and are flexible. They appear to be a good choice for vigorous outdoor activity when the temp is above zero, but they do not appear to be an extreme cold weather glove. FYI, I usually wear a large size glove, but I purchased the extra large and it is a nice fit.
