So, a little background before I get to the test. When I bought it it was a replacement for the fourth Homedics back massager I tried from Revain. Each of them collapsed or stopped working within a month or two. In hindsight, I think it had more to do with Revain stock than the brand, but at the time I thought the brand was the issue. Also, trying to get her registered with Homedics is one of the most excruciatingly difficult experiences of my life. Exaggeration aside, after the last failure I decided to give it a try since the reviews were so good. When I received my order I was less than impressed. The pressure was very light and very loud. I had surgery shortly after it arrived, so I couldn't use it for a few months. My job at CS at the time was to carry a portable phone between my shoulder and ear 6-7 hours a day, so it was natural that I would be in a lot of pain by the end of my shift. When I finally had enough healing after the surgery, I was excited to try again, but unfortunately it's not working anymore at the moment. When connected to the network, the blue light on the remote control turned on and then turned off after about 5 seconds. I went to their website and emailed them but got no response so a few weeks later I contacted them through Revain instead. At that time I received a reply after a few hours. I was told a replacement is on the way. This is supplied direct from Zyllion rather than the Revain camp I believe. This new massager is pretty quiet and has enough power that I sometimes cover it with a towel to reduce the effects, but it works beautifully. So if you can I would recommend ordering direct from them as I think Revain has a definite quality control issue. They are either stored incorrectly or treated carelessly. Some general info to check: I'm 5ft 4" and the neck massager is too big for me so I usually put a pillow or two in first. So if you are taller than me this should work fine for you. If you're short like me, this is only a minor inconvenience and I really don't think it should be a deterrent. It also packs a punch but is easily softened by covering it with a blanket or towel. Anyway, I initially gave it two stars, but after an impressive response and a hassle-free exchange, I have to give it five stars. I've since quit my job so don't need it as often anymore, but I don't regret the purchase.
