It's solid and heavy, although it wobbles a bit and you just need to tighten the fasteners to get it working properly. The rubber grip is much better than the foam grip in my opinion, but adds weight. 10 oz vs. 6.7 oz like the Smatree SmaPole. The first photo of the product doesn't show the improvements they made to this bar. It now comes with an aluminum tripod mount and another adjustable strap not shown in the photo. The remote control holder clip is very tight, you have to push the remote very hard to put it in there, which I think is good for real extreme sports. It's good, well made, materials etc. The only thing that worries me about the weight is everything along with the removal, it's quite noticeable. That's why I'm still eyeing the Smatree SmaPole because it's a lot lighter, but it also has its chances, like the foam sleeve. Let's see how it goes.
