I am always cold and sleep under an electric blanket all year round. What I really like is its lightness and quick heating. With most quilts I have to blow the highest number to get the kind of warmth we had before the 1980's. I turn this blanket on 7 to preheat, then quickly turn it down to 5 and 3 and set the timer. The auto off timer is a feature I use in the summer months. I had tons of emails. Blankets for the last 10 or so years and brands like Sunbeam and BHG are at their worst right now. I had to buy 2 solar bars in one year. Then I found Serta. I have an adjustable king size double bed. I buy a twin and fold the edges. I noticed that there are no heating coils around the edge of the blanket. This doesn't bother me as my pets like to sleep on their side and I don't have to worry about cooking. But I'm very well heated under the covers. Since I really like this soft chosen one. cover so much. I went back to buy replacement parts. I've had my current one for about 1 year, so far no problems with it. I'm a real paying customer and I wasn't paid or given free for my review! I just love this blanket.
