I have a 2018 model and the volume buttons don't work with the case at all. There is too much space between the case and the buttons, so they don't reach at all. Good thing I don't really care since I mainly use a drawing tablet, but if you use the volume rockers a lot you should look for a different case. The rest of the case is ok. I really like the magnetic stand - it works very well for what I need, which is digital painting. The magnet is also strong enough that I can store my drawing glove inside like a clasp when not in use. Those are the only reasons I won't buy another case. My main criticisms are: (1) it doesn't have a magnetic wake/sleep feature, (2) there's no strap or mechanism to keep it closed, (3) the volume rockers on the case are useless on my 2018 iPad Pro.
