Review on Enhanced Viewing ViewSonic VA2855SMH Monitor: 1920X1080P, 4Hz, Anti-Glare, LCD, HDMI by Willie Abrams

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent value for money for almost blind people

Remember this review was written by a man with vision problems. Thats a wonder! I see! This monitor is a good solution for the visually impaired. Certainly not permanent, but still good. A bright monitor with high enough resolution to read without a magnifying glass (a 17" laptop just can't keep up), even in standard resolution and contrast mode. I got the accessibility options back in the box and back to normal performance: no more magnifying glass! Light weight and tilt make adjustment a breeze. Adjusting the height is easy and safe with a medium sized book under the stand. This monitor also has four mounting points on the back for use with a swing arm should you choose to do so. Connect to the ViewSonic website to download driver updates (if necessary) and follow the instructions. Set your graphics card driver to full monitor resolution. BAMM! Ready. Now I can read text and numbers with relative ease. I can't tell if things are fuzzy or sharp, but the color and contrast impressions I get are better than what I'm used to. I think this monitor should be given five stars in terms of value for money. Also for design and usability. The only downside has to be the speakers, but since I'm using external speakers their cuteness doesn't bother them, and they'll be useful to an office user for the audio prompt they can deliver. add, except that I've been working flawlessly standing up to 10 hours a day including editing/typing, video streaming and sometimes an hour or two with Fallout Four or Laura Croft etc. I still highly recommend it.
