Excellent waffle maker! We used it for the first time tonight and all 3 of our waffles were perfect! Be sure to read the directions, we did and were not disappointed. We wiped the panels down, put them back in (they're super easy to remove and replace!) and turned them on. After about 3 minutes there was a slight odor and some smoke, but according to the instructions that is exactly what can happen. We waited for the smell to go, used cooking spray, and poured the batter straight in, about 3/4 cup, as instructed. We waited about 5 minutes and we had the perfect first waffle! We made 2 more and ran out of batter but we would have kept going! Each waffle was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, we weren't disappointed in the slightest!
