recommended age? best in my review

I just bought for my 5 year old grandson (description says ages 5-12), but the box says 8+ (and the item info says ages 36+, lol!). We haven't used it yet, but I sure hope my 5 year old can operate it on his own! If he does, I will consider giving it more stars. Looks like super fun toy. Update: I'm giving it 5 stars now because my grandson does indeed love this car. But I'm still giggling that the recommended age in the product description says "Manufacturer recommended age: 36 years and up"!
