Review on Canon CanoScan Lide 300 Scanner, Compact Design: 1.7 x 14.5 x 9.9 inches by Minoru Chikamatsu ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent quality, absolutely not expected for such a price.

This scanner turned out to be the cheapest, so I decided to buy it. I liked the fact that you do not need a separate power cable. In general, according to the instructions, it is recommended to connect it via USB 3.0. And the current specifications indicated on the bottom correspond to USB 3.0 - 5V, 900mA. But I tried to connect via USB 2.0, the scanner worked. There are physical buttons on the scanner, their action can be reconfigured in the software. There are different scanning modes - document, photo, gluing two half-images of A3 format. Autoscan saves the image in pdf or jpeg depending on the source and its location. Liked the copy function. When you click the copy button, the scanned image is immediately printed on the printer without being saved to the computer. On the old scanner, you had to scan first, then print the image. Due to the fact that my Canon LBP5050 printer cannot print borderless, the image on the copy turned out to be noticeably smaller than the original. With this scanner, the copy image turned out to be even slightly larger than the original. Now you can use two canons as one copier.

Pros
  • Compact, quiet operation, powered by USB from a computer, convenient software, the ability to make copies, low price.
