Review on 🚿 Cleanse and Purify: GE GXSM01HWW Shower Filter System in White by Lauren Perry

I have used this filter for many years because it is the only filter that is easy to install in my particular shower configuration and yes it is durable. However, there is one major downside. The filter must be changed regularly. The outer surface is very smooth and it is almost impossible to unscrew the housing to change the filter. I can not do it. And indeed I brought one of these filters back to the hardware store where I bought it and it took 2 different guys with bigger and stronger hands than mine to finally unscrew it. I gave up and am now replacing the whole unit instead of fighting to change the filter. I know this is a very bad and wasteful solution but I need to remove the chlorine from my water. I have already complained to GE about this and have not received a response. The company could easily solve this problem by adding a few grooves to the outer case so there's something to hook to unscrew it. I'd happily switch brands if I could find a better design to match my shower and I've tried but to no avail.
