🚿 Cleanse and Purify: GE GXSM01HWW Shower Filter System in White Review

Removes everything from our tap water that makes my husband lash out. I like the lack of chlorine smell, it's a shower not a pool. We only get 1 to 1 1/2 months with no filter, just a delay but well worth it.

Was easy to install and worked great but I moved the shower head and the fitting snapped and the pressure ripped it off the pipe. The plastic is too thin. Moving the shower head causes more stress than he can handle.

It was very easy to install. It works well. I move the showerhead carefully because the filter housing is plastic and I don't want to break it off. The filter makes a big difference in my hair which is much more voluminous now and I have noticed that my skin is not as dry as it was in winter.

I noticed that I didn't have to clean the tiny holes on the shower head, so I know it makes a difference. The only downside I see with this type of filter is that it is best used with a fixed shower head and not one that has a detachable hose. This results in a lot more flexibility than I'd like to see and honestly I think it's going to break one of those times I get my shower wand if I'm not careful.

After researching water filtration and looking at the different water filters Revain has to offer, we decided to give this one a try. I have used this filter for many years because it is the only filter that is easy to install in my particular shower configuration and yes it is durable. However, there is one major downside. The filter must be changed regularly. The outer surface is very smooth and it is almost impossible to unscrew the housing to change the filter. I can not do it.
