This Whirlybird carousel looks very nice. It's actually more beautiful in person than in the photos. And the metal is thicker than a lot of spinners I've seen lately. But the two inner rings appear not to have been completely cut through on one side of the ring. However, I ended up letting them fall apart. The rest of the rings were easily straightened out. The little link that spins the lure freely seems to work well with no resistance, but the lure doesn't really spin much, even in strong winds. Rather than spinning, it seems more inclined to simply deflate to the side like a windsock. It spins, but not like my other windmills. I think the ring attachment points are not exactly on a straight line which makes the lure unbalanced and off axis. It's very subtle, but I think that's the problem. It's still beautiful, and don't get me wrong, it spins, just not like it should.
