I bought this because my PS3 Slim drive (CECH-2001b) couldn't read discs. Installation was easy following the YouTube video. However, when I've finished installing the product, it won't read any of the discs. also, it makes strange noises when trying to read discs. I disassembled my PS3 more than 5 times to fix the problem. Finally, I found that the magnetic counter that the product offers is smaller than my original drive. Last time I installed my old spinner on a new drive. What you know, it worked like a charm. I've been using this PS3 for 10 years now, time will tell how long this disc will last. I hope this helps those who had the same problem as me.
