This electric corkscrew was bought to replace an oster which broke after a few years. It's pretty enough to be left in a charger/stand on the counter, but I put it in a drawer after charging. The battery lasts LONG. I have opened over 10 bottles of it in the last month (yes we love wine :) and there has been no sign of needing to be refilled. The documentation says it will open 30 bottles without reloading, and that's already a third of the way. The transparent business portion of the opener helps center it over the cork. It is VERY EASY to use, even for arthritic hands. Finally, it is equally useful for both new synthetic corks and traditional corks. Buy this electric corkscrew and be happy!
