Review on ASUS 31 5 Monitor VP32UQ Adaptive Sync 31.5", 3840X2160P, Blue Light Filter, Flicker-Free, Built-In Speakers, HD by Steven Nussbaum

Works *more* well. Next.

For audio. The screen is sharp, bright, clear and clean. The resolution is impressive, especially for this price range. Win10, Win11, Lubuntu and a few other Debian pickups and tunings almost bug free. The whites are *very* white and the black is almost perfect. I can actually turn the brightness down - it's *bright*. I have only one real complaint (and it's not the main one) about this monitor: Yes, it has built-in speakers. how do they sound Now, take one of the cardboard tubes from the paper towel roll and talk through it. Yes this is good. Bass? You can kick a cardboard box with the same success. That's the *only* reason I took a star off - just the sound. terrible. I have a 32 inch smart tv that I use which is 1/3 the price of this monitor and the sound is 10x better on everything. And the sound is almost inaudible. I know it's only 2 watts, but even 2 watts should be louder unless sent through a button-sized speaker. It's not a big loss as the sound is perfect in my headphones via the connector and I spend most of my time in headphones (connected via the PC's audio ports). I take out my soundbar and connect it to my TV to use when I want to hear audio that's over 12-16 inches away. Overall I would buy again. I would give 5 stars if I wasn't expecting better sound quality. (PS - Hey Revane, next time? Maybe put some packing material in the surprisingly large box you sent it in, and maybe even *seal* the box so the monitor can't be removed without cutting the tape ?

Pros
  • 16:9 aspect ratio; Viewing angle (CR≥10, H/V) is 178°/178°; Brightness (typ.) 350 cd/m²
Cons
